When you're flicking through online realestate photos, which part of the house are you most keen to see? I must admit that I have a soft spot for the kitchen. For those who love to cook, a dream kitchen is a strong selling point when you put your home up for sale. When I think about the kitchen, I think about favourite meals, mouthwatering aromas, late night visits when the midnight munchies attack and most importantly, sharing joy with family.
However many times, we see kitchens that don't live up to their full potential. In this blog, we want to share some simple tips to make your kitchen look its very best for realestate marketing photos.
Don't leave any dirty dishes in the sink and remove the drying rack. Similarly, no pots on the stove top
Remove tea towels
Fix rangehood lights with "day" lightbulbs
Line up the kitchen tap to be centered and if applicable, the knobs of the taps facing the same direction
Clear the bench leaving only 1 or 2 really nice appliances on the bench. Give it a good wipedown
Remove all magnets, stickers and artwork from the fridge
Straighten up bar stools to be consistent
No rubbish bins in sight
Add some greenery like a small potted plant or succulent or a clear glass jar with some flowers or leaves
For a splash of colour, you may like to add a bowl of fresh fruit or cook book in a stand
